Today is Garden Blogger’s Muse Day, day to post a poem relating to gardening , nature or whatever strikes you.

Nobody Knows This Little Rose

by Emily Dickinson

Nobody knows this little Rose —
It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.
Only a Bee will miss it —
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey —
On its breast to lie —
Only a Bird will wonder —
Only a Breeze will sigh —
Ah Little Rose — how easy
For such as thee to die!

I honestly think closed Rose buds are just as beautiful as ones that have opened. I can only think it is because they show the flower color on the outside as well.

I’m going out to gather my buds tomorrow cause our first snow is going to nip them this weekend. Kinda sad to see them go.

So nice to see you today.
