September Muse Day

“September Muse Day”, a copyrighted post, was written for my WordPress blog called Always Growing by Jan in Covington, Louisiana

Today is Garden Blogger’s Muse Day, day to post a poem relating to gardening , nature or whatever strikes you. It has been a while since I have participated in GBMD, but now things with the family seem to be settling down which is allowing me to get back to get back in the swing of things.

Thanks to Sweet Home and Garden Chicago for starting Garden Bloggers’ Muse Day.

September Song

Oh, it’s a long, long while from May to December
But the days grow short when you reach September
When the autumn weather turns the leaves to flame
One hasn’t got time for the waiting game

Oh, the days dwindle down to a precious few
September, November
And these few precious days I’ll spend with you
These precious days I’ll spend with you.

Oh, the start of autumn always makes me nostalgic, and this old Frank Sinatra song seems to fit my mood.

Very nice. I’m feeling a bit nostalgic about the ‘end’ of summer, as well. Thanks for sharing.
