Please, No More Winter

“Please No More Winter”, a copyrighted post, was written for my WordPress blog called Always Growing by Jan in Covington, Louisiana

Are you like me in hoping that this Groundhog Day’s prediction will be for an early spring?

Punxatawny Phil says yes, but Staten Island’s Chuck says no. I think I’ll go with Chuck because I want to garden.

I’ll go with Chuck, too. I am so sick of cold weather, cold rain, and deary days. I need some warm sunny days.

I could take warmer weather too, just nothing 70 or hotter.

Agreed we are tired of it already. Last year we planted peas on January 24th. Right now the garden is still covered in snow from last Fridays snowfall. More snow tonight… Peas who knows when we can plant them…

Hey…at least it’s above freezing these days! Personally I wish it would stop raining long enough for my yard to dry up. <:\
